My Autumn Lipsticks

Wednesday, 30 September 2015

Now that Autumn is officially upon us, I thought it was just the time to purchase some new colours to fit the weather. I always love mixing up my lip colours depending on the season, bright reds for the summer and more neutral and purples for the colder seasons.
These are two colours I keep walking into the stores, staring at them for a while, and then walking away saying "next time I'll buy it" but we all know I never do.

MAC Velvet Teddy
I've been so obsessed with this lipstick ever since Kylie Jenner preached about it to make her lips big. So many bloggers talk about it and now I can see why, it's AMAZING, this is by far my favourite lipstick I own at the moment. I always pair it with MAC Spice Lipliner, it's just that slightly bit darker so makes the perfect match. This lipstick is such a warm colour, perfect for autumn.

Rimmel 107
This is never really a lipstick that screamed out to me a lot in the pst but recently I've been loving it. I saw it on so may blogs that I had to go and see what all the fuss was about and I picked it up straight away!
My skin tone really doesn't purples usually but this colour matches my skin so perfectly, its such a warm colour, I just love it. I match it with Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lipliner, which is such a good match.

What are your fave autumn lip colours?

My Monthly Beauty Treatments

Monday, 28 September 2015

Todays post isn't really going to be a beauty product post, it's more the beauty bits I get done every month. These 3 things I started to get done just to 'try out' but fell in love with them and couldn't cope without them, terrible I know, but hey ho, let's crack on.

Acrylic Nails
This is a habit I've been getting done every 2-4 weeks since I was about 15 years old. Probably the worst but the best habit. I've had them done in so many different shapes, lengths, you name it I've had it, but because of all this my nails are in HORRIBLE condition, so I pretty much have to get them done constantly, they're not too bad price wise, they cost £20 for my first set and then £15 for infills every 4 weeks.
At the moment I've gone for the ballerina style and super long, I love them! My colour of choice is always a nude, I tried colours for summer but they just were not for me, I didn't think they went with enough so found myself changing the colour all the time, so a good nude colour is always my go to colour, at the mo I have the the Barry M colour in Cappuccino on.

Eyelash Extensions
This is such an expensive habit! I started getting them done because my friend was training so needed someone to practice on, I was always saying yes to her because whats better than a free beauty treatment right?
Well once she was trained and started to charge I looked else where for someone more professional to do them. I started to love them so much that without them I'm convinced I look like a 4 year old gremlin! I get a full set of silk lashes with extra volume so that initially costs me £60 and £45 for infills every 4 weeks. I've used so many expensive mascaras in my lifetime but nothing compares to how amazing these look, I really don't think I could ever go back to just using mascara, not only that but my make up routine is a lot quicker now!

Eyebrow Wax & Arch
Last but not least is, of course, my eyebrows. I can't be the only one who can't touch their own eyebrows without them turning into tadpoles! I get mine done at Benefit Brow Bar, which is honestly a God send, I stumbled across it in London one day and just tried it out and I don't know where I would go otherwise. I searched everywhere for one near where I live and finally found one, they tint arch and wax them for me and they always come out looking flawwwwwless. The full shabang costs me £20 but I only get the tint every other month so sometimes it costs me £12.50, such good value for money for the best treatment I've had!

Those are my expensive beauty habits, what do you have to get done every month?

A Surprising Love...

Friday, 25 September 2015

Has anyone else looked in every Boots and Superdrug to find the perfect moisturiser? Well I have, any possible place that sells body moisturiser I've looked in, but I still can't find that one that makes my skin baby soft. I also secretly never be bothered to do it, whenever I get out the bath I just want to get in my jammies and pass out on my bed.

This is the best thing if you're majorly lazy like me!  Its so easy and it makes your skin soon soft, literally like a babies behind. I use this when I just get out of the shower or bath, on wet skin I just smother a load on all over my body then just let it dry with my skin.
It dries quite quickly on the skin, although it does leave your skin a little bit on the greasy side so I probably wouldn't use it too close to going out. This is defiantly my favourite body skin care product at the moment, and for about £2 a bottle you can't really go wrong!

Have you tried baby oil on your skin?

My Most Used Brushes

Wednesday, 23 September 2015

I've seen a lot of bloggers talking about their favourite brushes, so I thought I would jump on the band wagon and share my fave, well most used of mine. I do have a number of different brushes but I always find myself going back to my Real Techniques brushes.

Starting off with my powder brush. This is my go to brush for any make up look, whether it be every day make up or a night out, I couldn't live without it. I love the way it sets my powder, it always goes on so smooth because its sooo soft! Its a massive brush so it can hold a lot of powder, so I do find this is the one that needs to be washed the most but I love it so much I don't really mind.

Next up is their blush brush. This brush is the perfect size to just put a tiny bit of blusher on my cheeks when I'm feeling that my face looks a bit dull.

Stippling Brush
Next one if my stippling brush. I used to apply my foundation with a flat brush which I didn't really like, I thought it kept leaving lines on my face and I would have to buff them out, so just a lot of stress really. I bought this brush just to try and see if it would be a better option and I LOVE it! It sets my foundation perfectly, gets into all the little lines and all sorts, I'll never go back to a flat foundation brush after using tis one.

Contour Brush
Last but not least is the contour brush from the Core Collection. As you can tell my dog attacked it so it obviously his favourite too. This contour brush is the perfect size to fit in the hollow of my cheekbones and around my temples, perfect for any make up look. Its just my favourite brush out of the whole collection, although I think I do need to purchase a new one after the puppy attack.

Thats it, they are my favourite Real Technique brushes, I love to try out loads of different brushes and techniques with them. What are your favourite make-up brushes?

Sunday Inspo #1

Sunday, 20 September 2015

This is a new little 'segment' I've added to my blog. I am constantly on Tumblr, Pintrest, all that stuff, so I thought I might swell share some of my fave images I find with my lovely readers.
I wanted to start posting on a weekend but I didn't want to write a massive post as I know most of you won't want to really read a big post when you're hungover, so just having something visual to look at on my blog is perfect! I want to try and make it something different each week, first week being Animals, but sometimes it might just be everything I'm loving that week!
Be sure to check out my Tumblr, creeebash.tumblr.com :)

Whats In My Bag #1

Friday, 18 September 2015

So, the time has officially come for that dreaded handbag clear out, and I thought hat better way to make this remotely fun, than to share it with you lovely people. I love watching these videos but as I'm not really a video kinda gal, I will be pulling something out and writing it down in that order, so here we go...

1.) My purse (with no money in it of course). At the moment I've been using my navy Herm├ęs Dogon purse, fake though, but don't tell anyone that, shh.

2.) My sunnies. See what I mean, it is no longer summer here in the UK and I still have my sunglasses! I'm currently using my fave Topshop Sophie Cateye sunnies which I adore.

3.) Notebook. Every bloggers essential in their handbag, I found the cutest little one in Tiger, its all marble and flips round so its really neat, and its tiny so fits perfectly in all my bags, I just use this to jot down ideas if I'm out and want to remember them.

4.) Diary. Another essential for any blogger. This is a life saver, it helps me remember when I have to write certain posts and publish posts, it's also perfect for remembering my day to day routine. I found a cheap and cheerful one in WHSmith which is nice and cute.

5.) My Phone. Obviously I couldn't live without my iPhone 6, I live by it and every app.

6.) Earphones. Perfect for my long journeys to uni on the train.

7.) My glasses. I have my Gok Wan ones at the moment, but defo need a change of style.

8.) Receipts. From many things I most likely didn't need!

9.) My pencil case. Yet another blogging essential, in fact just an essential, I always need a pen when I'm out and about.

10.) Oyster. My oyster is just something I always keep on me incase I unexpectedly need to jump on a train somewhere. (Happens a lot more than you think)

11.) Fluff roller. OMG if you don't have one if these its a major essential, I have white cats and most of the time I wear black, so you can see the issue here! This gets it all off in one swipe, you can pick them up in Poundland, pretty much anywhere has them to be honest.

12.) Hand cream and hand sanitiser. Hand sanitiser for all the dirty tubes and bits and hand cream just because my hand get so dry it makes me feel sick lol.

13.) Tissues. I can't tell you the amount of times I've gone to a public toilet and there hasn't been any loo roll *add sick emoji*! I just have to always have them in my bag now.

14.) Lip gloss. Last thing is my lippy, I'm currently obsessed with the Soap and Glory XXL Plump, love the tingle and plump it gives your lips.

Thats all that was in my bag, plus dust that needed to be binned there and then!
Have you done any whats in my bag posts? I would love to see.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Range

Wednesday, 16 September 2015

Before I started blogging I didn't take care of my skin what so ever, I would wash it morning and night and that was pretty much it, I didn't use toner, moisturiser, eye cream, anything just threw my make up on and that was that.
So once I started up my blog and started following a number of different bloggers, I actually learnt how important it was to take care of my skin!

I wanted to try it out but I didn't want to dive in and spend about £30 on a moisturiser and end up not even liking it, so I went to Superdrug and saw that these were on offer, so for about £3 each I couldn't really go wrong.
I went for the naturally radiant range as they were mostly for oily/combination skin, where as some of the other brands are mainly for dry skin.

Glycolic Overnight Peel
The first product I picked up was this glycolic overnight peel, I picked this up because I thought it would be perfect to help me look a little bit more alive in the mornings. It comes in a gel like solution, you put about a pea size on at night, comes out quite sticky, then in the morning wash it off. Another one of its benefits is that, if like me you have an uneven skin tone, it's supposed to even it out. I love this product, after using it for about 4 weeks my skin looks so much brighter and I really do look more alive in the mornings. I don't use it every day though as it might ruin my skin but maybe about 2 times a week.

Brightening Eye Cream
Another thing I picked up out of the range was the brightening eye cream. I really wanted to find a good eye cream as so many people rave about them all over the blogging world. This eye cream is honestly a god send! It makes me look so awake, like I've had the best nights sleep, even though I most likely haven't, probably awake all night watching Netflix!
One of the things that this product does is minimises dark circles which is something I majorly needed in an eye cream! Love it!

2 in 1 Moisturiser & Serum
This 2 in 1 moisturiser & serum was a product I was really excited to try! I've wanted to try a serum for ages but never really found the right one, so because this one was mixed with a moisturiser so for my everyday make up I do in a rush this is perfect!
This is a really hydrating moisturiser, I apply it after my toner and it makes me feel so awake and clean. It also makes my make up so smooth and perfect, this is my favourite product of the lot!

What are your fave high street beauty products?

2 Years With My Man

Monday, 14 September 2015

For today's post I thought I would mix up my writing and share something a little bit more personal rather than another beauty review.
So very recently was my boyfriend and Is 2 year anniversary! 2 years! I thought I would share what we did to celebrate with my lovely readers!

First off we decided to get each other little pressies this year because we both knew the meal would be on the pricy side, I bought him a PS4 game, because classic, he's a lad, a Topman shirt and some cute Thorntons choc which obviously being a soppy girl that I am, I got personalised.
He was actually really amazing with my prezzies, he treated me to a MAC gift card, so you can all imagine how excited I was to receive that, and of course he treated me to the meal of a lifetime!

We went to Benihana for our meal, if you haven't heard of this restaurant, it's a Japanese restaurant where you have your own personal chef cook your food infant of you, they even do those knife tricks you see in the films.
You mostly pay for the experience but the food was pretty darn good too! As you all know I'm vegetarian so there was actually only one choice for me, it was so much food but considering I paid £30 just for my main I guzzled it all up. The boy went for a steak and chicken meal which cost him about £36 which was apparently gorg.

If all the amazing food and wine wasn't enough, I turned round and guess who walks in the door... ANGELINA JOLIE! I was so starstruck I didn't really know how to act! Was so much fun!

It was honestly the best anniversary with the most amazing man! Really felt the love!

Have you done anything memorable for an anniversary?

No7 Intelligent Colour Foundation

Friday, 11 September 2015

I never really post about foundations because I only ever use this one, but I think the time has come to share my love of this foundation with you all.
My skin has always been really fussy when it comes to foundations and powder, every drugstore foundation that I try just doesn't work with my skin, it always blotches and looks too thick, and then the powder won't stick to it, its all just such a mess really. So because of this I was very apprehensive about spending £15.50 on a foundation I might not even like, but I'm so glad I did!

Skin
I have combination skin so my T-zone can get really oily but my chin can sometimes get really dry, so you can imagine how hard I find it. Because it contains SPF it's really moisturizing and doesn't make my skin dry at all. So I would say this is perfect for combination skin, but to be honest I think it would be perfect for any type of skin.

Texture and Last
It's a very lightweight foundation so goes onto my skin so smoothly, it's kind of velvet texture so its so soft! With primer on before you apply the foundation it can stay on pretty much all day and with a good powder it looks flawless. The only think I would say about this is that it doesn't have amazing coverage, so if you have blemish prone skin, you will probably have to use a concealer as well.

Colour
This is a magic colour, it matches to your skin tone, so you buy a basic colour, I bought 'light' and when you apply it it changes to fit all the different colours of your face, so its perfect if you have different pigments in your skin, I have rosy cheeks sometimes so it works perfectly for me.

This is defiantly my go to foundation for any occasion, I've tried so many other brands like MAC, none of which has worked so I'm so glad I've finally found the one foundation to fit all my needs!

What are your go to foundations?

MUA Undress Me Too Palette

Wednesday, 9 September 2015

I've never really been a big eyeshadow wearer, but after hearing so many good things about this palette I just had to try it out, and for the price of £4 you can't go wrong. I've loved wearing this and playing about with different shades.

This palette is perfect for every day and evenings, I usually use the more neutral colours for everyday and the more glittery colours on a night out. The colours stay on for hours, I usually use 'MUA Pro-Base Eye Primer' before but they stay on really well without a primer.
I do have to do a couple of layers just to get the perfect shimmer and I sometimes blend a darker colour in my crease, this palette has all the colours you will ever need. The rose gold colour is my favourite shade blended with the matte light brown, this palette is defiantly my favourite MUA product.

Do you have a favourite eyeshadow palette?

Mixing up Your Gym Routine with Classes

Monday, 7 September 2015

Now, if you're anything like me the thought of working out can bring you close to tears. When I have to try and decide what routine I'm going to do makes me just want to curl up in bed with chocolate instead of actually going.
I decided I needed to do something about my lack of motivation so a friend of mine suggested classes, I never really went to a class before because I never felt like it done a lot of good, I was definatly going to the wrong classes! I thought I would share the classes that make me feel the most motivated and the most fun!

Aqua Class
This is the class I do pretty much every week. It's so much fun! Its perfect if you're not really into going so hard at the gym that you come out looking like a sweaty mess, it's like exercise you don't realise you're doing. Another great thing about this class is that it's usually just little old women that do it so if you feel uncomfortable in a bikini, which I usually do, I never feel judged or anything.
So, an aqua class is pretty basic to explain, you do a lot of acrobatic moves but in a swimming pool, some instructors usually make you use water weights, they're basically lightweight dumbbells but when used under water are really heavy. With this class I think you can burn about 300 cals if you do it really intense. I love it.

Circuit Class
This class is 100% one of the hardest things I've ever done but it's really fun when you do it with a friend. You basically have a number of different stations and you go around each one and do it for about 30 seconds about 3 times, I think they're about 10 stations, now it sounds a lot easier than it is I can assure you.
This is perfect if you, like me most of the time, eat the most illegal meal and you just have to burn it off one way or another, you leave the room so sweaty!

Yoga Class
This is a bit of a different class, it's not cardio based at all its very much for toning. I recently felt so stressed out that I wanted to do something about it, so I tried out a yoga class. It really is so calming while you exercise, you do a number of different moves that stretch you and tone you. This is defo something I recommend doing a couple of times a week if you ever feel stressed at work or school or even just in day to day life, it's changed my life.

Spin Class
Last but not least is a spin class. This is such a hard workout, not going to lie to you all, but the first time I ever done a spin class I actually cried, saying that I was so happy I tried it out as I felt about a stone lighter!
Its another one of those illegal meal classes, or if you only have time for an hour workout but you still want it to be intense this is defiantly the one. I actually find this class really fun once you get into it, they play such motivating music and it really makes you want to keep going and burn those calories, even if your legs do feel like jelly when you get off the bike.

What are your favourite gym classes?
