Homemade Face Masks

Wednesday, 1 July 2015

Just a little post for today, but I tried these face masks out and I just had to share them with you. You all know I'm a lover for the organic stuff so finding a facemark that actually worked wonders was amazing!
The oatmeal facemark is perfect for tightening the skin. The egg contains protein which helps you get a natural facelift and tightening the pores. Olive oil is perfect as an antioxidant so its perfect to draw out impurities in your skin and protect it from damage, its also such a good moisturiser.
The cinnamon face mask is perfect for blackheads and blemishes, the cinnamon is a perfect scrub to really get into the pores and clean them out and the lemon is perfect for drying out spots and making them clear up quicker.

Oatmeal, egg and olive oil face mask:
Ingredients
  • 1tbsp Oatmeal
  • 1 Egg white
  • 1tbsp Olive oil
Method
1. Add the egg white to a bowl and whisk it until it turns into a froth like mixture.
2. Add the olive oil and the oatmeal and mix together.
3. Apply to your face all over (I will warn you its very watery so I would apply with a brush)
4. Leave for about 15 minutes and wash off, and enjoy amazing feeling skin!

Cinnamon, lemon juice and turmeric face mask:
Ingredients

  • 1tsp Cinnamon
  • Pinch of Turmeric
  • 1-2tsp Lemon juice
Method
1. Mix all the ingredients together so it makes a little paste.
2. With a brush add the paste to your face (you could just add it to places you're prone to blackheads e.g. nose)
3. Use it as either a scrub and wash off straight away or leave to work for about 5 minutes and wash off.

Do you have any natural beauty remedies?
xoxo

  1. I love using oatmeal and eggs as a face mask! I always blitz the oats in a food processor first so that the chunks are a little smaller, I find it works better as an exfoliator that way :).
