My Small Mac Collection

Monday, 30 March 2015

They have recently opened up a Mac where I live so this is the reason I've started my little collection as I've always had an excuse never to buy anything from there because of having to travel to the shop.
I have never been so happy with a lipstick, I was seriously missing out, and with a lip primer! Life is good haha.

Retro Matte 'All Fired Up' Lipstick
This was the first Mac product I received, my friend took me to the shop and offered to buy me something for my birthday, so its safe to say I was a little bit excited. Im usually a very simple, nude colour girl so going to a colour like this was a bit of a stretch, but after talking to the store assistant she said to me because at the time I had all brown hair and I also have dark eyes, that I had no colour on my face so I had to put something on it.
This is the perfect matt colour! I have to apply it with a brush though as its literally like a crayon its so thick which makes it stay on for so long, its a dark pink/red colour which is so amazing.

Prep + Prime Lip
I had never even known about lip primer before I went into mac the first time and they applied my lipstick for me, I know living under a rock much! I don't really have much to compare this too as I've never used one before but I can tell you that it smells AMAZING and it makes my lips so moisturised. It also lets me draw my lip liner on so much easier and much more perfect.

Matte 'Pink Plaid' Lipstick
Because I obviously couldn't stay away from my nude colours but I still wanted a little bit of colour I went into my Mac on pay day and treated myself to this lippy. Its a little less matte than the retro matte but still so easy to apply, I have yet to find a lip liner that fits it perfectly but if anyone has any recommendations please do tell me. Its so moisturising and I love the colour because it goes with everything, especially a white outfit!

What are your fave products from Mac?

My Bath Must Have Items

Monday, 23 March 2015

If you're anything like me I love using slightly different products when I'm having a bath to when I have a shower. When I shower i usually use my same cleanser but I would probably use the house shower gel and shampoo and conditioner. So when I have a bath I much prefer using my more comforting products so I can really relax, as I don't usually get much time to actually sit and relax in a nice warm bath.

Bioré Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser
This is literally the best cleanser I have ever used in my whole life! If you read my blog regularly I mention that I have suffered with bad skin for such a long time, ever since I was young and although i exfoliate regularly my skin is just very stubborn and won't stop being spotty and gross.
I have literally heard so many things about charcoal and different uses for it to draw out impurities, so when I saw this Bioré cleanser I bought it straight away! It has literally done wonders for my skin, I wash my face with it every morning and night and it literally feels so amazing, it smells so minty and clean its so amazing, I would defo recommend buying this if you struggle with bad skin like me!

Soap and Glory Rich and Foamous Body Wash
I am always on a search for the perfect smelling body wash, I know that makes me very sad haha. But this body wash is the most amazing smelling, moisturising body wash I have ever found! It's a little pricey for a body wash but its so worth the money. This body wash is literally so comforting and just makes you so relaxed, i wish they done a bubble bath version aswell :(.

Bleach London Silver Shampoo and Conditioner
I recently dip dyed my hair again, which I love, but I've heard a few things about silver shampoo and conditioner and I love the effect it has on blonde hair! Although I don't really think that it will do much to my hair as i think y blonde is a little too dark for it to make it silver, but I'm giving it a try anyways. The shampoo comes out a really dark purple and the conditioner comes out a lilac colour and they both smell AMAZING, even if they don't do anything to my hair I actually think I will re buy this because it makes my hair so soft and smell beaut!

What are your bath product must haves?

My Fave Bloggers At The Moment

Friday, 20 March 2015

This is the first post I've posted that didn't really need a photo so I wasn't 100% sure what to take an image of, as I know everyone is attracted to an image so I needed to add something! Hope it isn't too boring for you all!

Now ever since I came onto the blogging scene I have searched high and low for as many blogs I could find as a slight inspiration and just because I love reading about peoples views and opinions on things. So I've put together a short list of all my fave bloggers at the moment, because I thought it was about time I did.

Food:
These are just a few of the foodie bloggers I am adoring at the moment, especially Deliciously Ella. All of their food and recipes make me so motivated to eat a clean and healthy lifestyle! Just knowing how easy they make all their recipes just makes all us beginners so much more confident in believing we can do it too! You don't need all the money in the world, all you really need is a food processor and these bloggers and you're ready to start a new lifestyle!

Fashion, Beauty and Lifestyle:
Since I have started blogging I can honestly say my skin has never felt better! It's all to you amazing bloggers that I see a product and think to myself 'I must have this now!' so obviously, I am a human I break the balance and buy it. Before blogging my skin and make up was honestly so boring, but I didn't know where to start in getting a new look, which is one of the reasons I wanted to become a blogger, the same goes with my wardrobe, it was boring, and all starting to look the same, but these bloggers have given me a new lease on life, but I am sorry to say it but you've all made me poor!

Do you have any favourite bloggers?

Raw Almond Butter Cups

Wednesday, 18 March 2015

Now if you follow me on Twitter or on Instagram you will know I've been on a bit of a health kick recently, living a plant based, vegan lifestyle is literally so rewarding! I've been so full of energy and feeling so upbeat and happy, research doesn't lie when they say unhealthy processed food causes depression. When I didn't care what I ate I felt so down all the time and stodgy from all the food, its just not a nice way to live! Since I've been eating plant based and working out 3-5 times a week I honestly feel so much happier within myself.

As I am human, and a girl I obviously get the serious chocolate craving every now and again, so because I can't eat chocolate if I still want to feel like I can move this is the perfect alternative, and not only that it's so simple and quick!

Ingredients: (makes about 6 cups)
  • Cacao Powder- 1/4 cup
  • Coconut Oil (melted)- 1/4 cup
  • Agrave Nectar- 2 tbsp
  • Salt- 1 tiny pinch
  • Almond Butter- 6 tsp
Method:
  1. Add all the ingredients into a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly to make sure there are no lumps and bumps left.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon into a cupcake paper holder or just enough to cover the bottom of the holder and put into the freezer until the chocolate has hardened (about 5 mins)
  3. Take out the freezer and add the almond butter to each of the cups
  4. Add the remaining chocolate (which may have hardened so just put into the microwave for about 30 seconds and mix again) onto each of the cups. Then put back in the freezer for about 10 minutes.
  5. Enjoy.
Do you have any cheeky treat recipes?

Simple White Shirt

Monday, 16 March 2015

I don't usually do many fashion posts on my blog because I don't really like taking photos of myself, but I defo want to make it more of a regular thing as I love fashion!

I thought I would share the best buy I've found in such a long time. Since it was my 20th birthday (20! I'm officially a grown up) last week I obviously got a ton of vouchers including about £80 Topshop vouchers. So I wanted to treat myself to something i would actually get a lot of use out of rather than a few things i would only wear a couple of times.

This Topshop Cotton Oversized Shirt is literally such an amazing wardrobe must have! Its a little on the pricey side at £45.00 but if, like me you think you will get a lot of wear out of it, it's so worth the pennies. I bought this because I did originally want to save my vouchers for summer but I thought this would actually look so nice on holiday (it is actually longer than it looks in the photos) and not only that it looks amazing with everything! I paired mine with a black Joni pair of jeans from Topshop and my black and white slip on platform shoes from Topshop, I also just used my everyday bag from Asos.
So if you need a sample white shirt i would defy recommend investing in this one, even if it is just for casual wear.

Do you have any wardrobe must haves?

Chocolate and Almond Smoothie Bowl

Friday, 13 March 2015

Smoothie bowls are literally my favourite thing to eat for breakfast and a really good way to get your 5 a day! This is my favourite one that I make so I thought I would I would share it with you all, it's so easy to make and its literally so amazing!

Ingredients:

  • Cacao Powder- 1 tsp
  • Medjool Dates- 2
  • Banana- 1 large
  • Spinach- 1 small handful
  • Almond Butter- 1 1/2 tsp
  • Rasberries- about 5
  • Almond Milk- about 1 cup
Method:
  1. Literally just throw it all in a blender until its smooth, i would say leave it for about 5 minutes just to be on the safe side.
  2. Put it in a bowl with a little bit of coconut sugar and whatever topping you like, i used a strawberry.
Its that easy and keeps you full up for so long!

Do you have any smoothie bowl recipes to share?

Bulgur Wheat and Vegetable Salad

Wednesday, 11 March 2015

This is one of my favourite recipes for a quick an easy lunch, and also brilliant if its coming towards the end of the week and you have such random things in your fridge like I do at the moment. Its the most simple thing to make and it is so tasty, even better that it is completely plant based, vegan, veggie, everything healthy you can think of!

(Serves 1 as a whole meal, or 2 as a side dish)

Ingredients

  • 100g bulgur wheat
  • 400ml boiling water
  • 1tbsp herbs of some kind- I use Santa Maria Chili and Lime
  • 1 big handful of sweetcorn (frozen or fresh)
  • 1 big handful spinach
  • 1/4 yellow/red pepper
  • 1/2 carrot
  • 4 stems of broccoli
  • 1tbsp coconut oil
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 heaped tbsp hummus (homemade or pot of organic)
Method
  1. Get your herbs and mix together with the boiling water. Put on the hob on a high heat until the water boils.
  2. Once the water is boiling, add the bulgur wheat and stir with a fork, lower the heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. While your bulgur wheat is boiling away, chop up all your veg as big as you like it, i like mine small.
  4. Add your coconut oil to a frying pan/wok and leave to melt. Once its melted add all your vegetables and cook until soft. (This just makes it so much quicker)
  5. Once the bulgur wheat has cooked, leave to stand for about 5-10 minutes, separate the grains with a fork.
  6. Add your bulgur wheat to the vegetables and stir all together.
  7. Add to a bowl and add the hummus and avocado on the top. And there you have it all ready to eat.
It really is that easy and the total time it takes is about 20-25 minutes! Perfect for a quick lunch i find.

Do you have any quick healthy recipes?

H&M Home Wishlist

Friday, 6 March 2015

As you can tell from my last post I'm loving making wish lists at the moment. I've wanted to move out of my family home for so long but as I am at uni for another 2 years I can't really move out until I'm at least 23, and that makes me very sad :(. I love living at home but sometimes i think you just need your own space to make you grow up. Although if I won the lottery anytime soon I would be outa here. So because I have been thinking about it a lot recently and as its my birthday Saturday I've been making lists for about a month now, so I thought I would share a few bits I have been loving and need for my future house, H&M is what I've been looking at the most because their online home section is literally heaven so Im only going to share bits from there, otherwise we could be here for a very long time.

White Metal Basket
I love this, its about £15, its so rustic looking which I love, I think it would be perfect to put magazines in or even to make into a bin. I think I would do that, make it into a bin and put it next to the sofa or something for those cosy nights in when you pig out on chocolate and cakes, you can just throw the rubbish in there while it still looks nice and clean, I found it here.

Clear and Gold Vase
This vase is so cute, i think it would be perfect for a single flower. I love the shape and the little gold bit at the top. The shape is so different, I think on maybe a fireplace or on the kitchen windowsill with one little rose or a tulip in or something it would look so cute, not only that but its only £6.99 here.

Silver Cake Stand
This is literally such a cute stand, I love to bake so this would be literally perfect in my kitchen. The reason I love the silver one so much is because of the writing around it, the gold one doesn't have this which is a bit annoying. It would look so cute on an island in the middle of the kitchen, and for £9.99 its so worth it, from here.

White Small Wooden Box
This would be perfect to put herbs snd stuff in in the kitchen, exactly what it says on the box. I think this on the windowsill with the little vase with the flower in it. Its only £7.99 here and they do it in different colours and sizes, but this is my fave.

Beige Fake Fur Blanket
As soon as I saw this I fell in love with it! It's quite pricey it's like £30 but for the look of it its so worth it. I think this would look so nice on an L shaped sofa on the L bit. Maybe as decoration but obviously if you fall asleep watching tv it would come in very handy. I found it here and I think I might have to purchase it already I love it that much.

Clear Glass Jar
Last but not least I found this little glass jar that will come in so handy for so many things. You could use it as a vase, a glass or even to put things like make up brushes in. Its only £5.99 so to be able to use it for anything would be so good! You can buy it here, and again i think i might have to buy it for my make up brushes now.

Do you have any home ideas for when you move out?

Benefit Wishlist!

Wednesday, 4 March 2015

As you all know I love a good wish list and as its my birthday on Sunday I thought I would make a tiny little Benefit wish list. I recently went into a Benefit store and ended up getting my eyebrows shaped and waxed which I LOVE, I would seriously recommend going to one of their salons if you need a re-shapping. First up on my list is:

Hoola Bronzing Powder
So many of my friends have this bronzer and I always steal a cheeky bit when I'm getting ready with them for a night out. I find it has literally the perfect colour for my cheeks, something else I've found it to be perfect for is contouring my nose. I slide a little bit down the sides of my nose and on the end and blend and it just looks so skinny and nice. The only downside is the brush it comes with, I don't really like the feel of it on my cheeks, but I always use my Real Techniques brush anyway. This is actually really expensive but soo worth it, it's £23.50 from here.

High Beam Luminescent Complexion Enhancer
I've wanted this product for so long, its like the perfect highlighter! When I steal this from my friends, which is not of the time, I put a bit on the top of my nose, cheekbones and my lip crease just so make me look a bit alive. They say its 'supermodel in a bottle' and it really is its amazing, I must have it. It's quite pricey at £19.50 you can get it here.

Brow Zings Brow Shaping Kit
I bought this for my sister a couple of christmases ago and I'm so annoyed i didn't pick one up for myself too! When i went to get my brows done a couple of days ago this is what they filled them in with and it stayed all day and looked amazing! When I bought it, it was £30 but its actually gone down I think here it is £24.50.

Boi-ing Industrial Strength Concealer
Also when I went to get my eyebrows done they used this to cover up the redness so I could actually go out in public without looking like a tomato. It literally covered up all the redness and you couldn't see it at all! I suffer quite badly with dark circles under my eyes so this would be perfect to cover it up, and also scars from spots I've gained over the years. I think its about £17.50 here.

It's Potent! Eye Cream
This eye cream is supposed to work purely on dark circles and like I said before I suffer really bad with them so I think this would be a perfect start of getting rid of them. It is also supposed to make you look more hydrated and brighter and I need to start looking more alive as I am constantly getting late nights! This is quite expensive for an eye cream but I think if it works it would so be worth the £25.50 here.

Roller Lash Mascara
Of course I have to add this product in. Everyone raves about this mascara so much that I need to have it! It makes your lashes so curled and long and i really need that! I have stumpy short eyelashes so I really want this mascara, its £19.50 so not too bad for a benefit product, you can get it here.

Do you have anything on your Benefit wishlist?

The 3 Best Teas!

Tuesday, 3 March 2015

If you're a classic British person like myself you will obviously be obsessed with tea. Although I do love a good cuppa I'm allergic to caffeine so I always have to drink decaf so I find it more of a comforting drink than a pick me up so these are some of my have to have drinks at all times.

Twinings 'Lemon Zest'
I usually hate anything that is lemon flavoured I only like actual natural lemons but I bought this just because it was on offer and Im so happy I did! It's literally the most refreshing hot drink ever, I find it perfect for the morning as soon as I wake up, it really makes me wake up and get ready for the day. I also find it the perfect pick me up, if I'm feeling a little bit down i'll have a cup and it just gives me a natural burst of energy. You can pick up a box here for only £1.49.

Pukka 'Cleanse'
The first thing I do before bed is have a big mug of this tea! It works so amazing on your skin and just gives you such a good nights sleep and you wake up with your skin feeling so refreshed. Also the aloe vera in it makes your body feel so cleansed and clean, I love it, not only that it tastes amazing. You can pick up a box here for only £2.39.

English Tea Shop 'Refresh Me'
This is my least favourite from the 3 but still one of my fave teas ever. This is so refreshing for the morning, the peppermint really wakes you up and motivates you to get up and do some work during the day. This is the only box I've found in such a long time as its sold out everywhere, I think it was only about £2-£3 so if you keep looking you might be able to find it.

Do you have any favourite hot drinks?
